Dancehall from the 90’s = Some Friday Sexy.

by nikolas on November 7, 2008

All the people who claim that their years of youth were the best ever put your hands up. Quite a number i see, now put them down, you do look kind of silly doing that in your cubicle at the office or in the cyber, if you are at home your housemates probably already have you marked for admission to the nearest asylum and have their number written in permanent marker on the phone cradle. These songs here mark a most significant part of my teenage years and shall do so for quite a long time to come.

Shabba Ranks, Trailer Load of Girls

A bevy of girls, this dude did with this video what all directors still try to do till now, and are still unsuccessful. Say trailer load of girls and he delivered just that, oh the eye candy up in here, the hairstyle which i might have sported at some time, the skimpily clad women, booty…oh dear! I did try and imitate that dance and had it down pat, tried it just now and realised that i am no longer as light as i used to be, someone call the chiropractor, ow!

Mad Cobra, Flex [time to have sex]

Simple, straight to the point, almost, that dance on the beach in the opening scenes, what boys fantasies are made of…time to have seexa… Those words were tantamount to…i do not even know what, the song was promptly banned in the E household by decree of my father, did not stop me from listening to the song on my Walkman though. Watch the silhouettes…his moves are priceless. This was the almost boob sighting i might have encountered before i gained access to porn videos, and dude, with a name like that…

Patra feat. YoYo, Romantic Call.

My property is my property…oh Patra, make me your property! Something very sexy about a self assured aggressive woman with curves in the right places, of course, she is one hot woman, yes?

And a bonus track which unfortunately will not embed: click me.

Let me go back and replay the videos over and over and over again.

Have a roundly sound weekend.

(Finally putting my hand down) .Memories are made of these. Where did you leave out yellow man? He made Albinos look hot. Speaking of hot, I have just remembered how i would endure a kass-kass show( Lingala and me only mix in the club) just coz Jimmi Gathu (my first media personality crash) was presenting.

Remember one hit wonder MC Hammer?

SupremeGREAM 11.11.08 at 9:12 am

After Tupac passed Patra didnt have another hit! Its said Tupac actually wrote the song I dont know how true that it but it has some sense considering she didnt hit that big again. Do you remember when Shaba Ranks came over! Damn! All the furore about him droping his pants on stage! Remember also not very long ago when Coolio threw condoms to the crowds and it was such an issue? Those were the good days! Add Mr. Boombastic to that list that song used to get me crazy

Shiko McHammer was actually not a one hit wonder. He had many hits which made him lotsa milli and he infact had a cartoon strip called Hammer Man. Used to put on some dancing shoes and turn super hero. I remember it like it was yesterday

Oh thanks Greamz. I think I only ever heard of ‘we gotta pray’. that was him I hope.
