by nikolas on November 10, 2008

The great Miriam Makeba has passed away. She was a South African Musician of great repute and a human rights activist and died at 76 years old of a heart attack after a performance in Italy.
The New York Times Obituary.

This is one of my favourite performances she cameod in with Paul Simon at the African Concert, Graceland; Under African Skies.

A sad day for African music.
