Ricco Makes Off With $100,000 of Big Brother Stacks!

by nikolas on November 23, 2008

Ricco is the winner of Big Brother 3 Africa Show 2008! after a close tussle with and which i presume would have degenerated into fisticuffs for the number one slot, well if the three housemates were given a chance to. Munya was second runner up to Hazel who took the number two slot by an extremely narrow margin.

It has been, in my opinion been the most boring Big Brother Africa so far, the only spirited bursts of entertainment mostly confined to Tawana attempting to have her cake and eat it too if you catch my drift. For the Stans, do share in the comments what were your most memorable scenes and scandals in the house?

I for one let me begin by wondering what happened to the shower hour and the uncut show since however hard i tried, always managed to miss them by a good mile, when did they show, did anyone see any sex in the house? I shall be off to the Big Brother Africa site, see what i can scrounge up.

I would love to hear your views, so would the rest of my readers…hit up the comments… digressions permitted.

More later.

Most Boring true!
Most pretty girls voted out too early true (Lucille, Sheila, Latoya in that order)
Entertainers voted out in favour of boring types who only cook and gossip – I think they confused being ‘Housemates”with being desperate housewives.
Sex – yes managed to see some undercover activity one night and the disposal of the prophylactic device. (The whole scene was hardly stimulating sorry to say)
Next time they need to leave South Africa out of the show they can have their own show they definately influenced the voting negatively
I didn’t wast my time with the later stages of the show which were plainly mediocre

At some point it got sooooo boring that it was impossible to watch. If we want cooking shows we’ll watch Mke Nyumbani. Is she still around? Ok Susan Kamau then. As Sheila so aptly put it on her eviction night, they didn’t go in there to cook and scrub floors.

Biggie has to rethink if he’s airing the show next time. A few changes here and there otherwise he could get sued for boring the masses. Or maybe the concept of big brother is just dying a slow death?

So looking at the similarities between Richard and Ricco who were winners, Hazel and Ofunemama both of whom were runners, up who is Africa rewarding?

I’m no fan of reality TV (other than The Apprentice), but predictably, the next seasons will be worse in terms of entertainment value. I think it’s because after the first season, the participants do more of role play, than be real.

All in all, they should trash the show altogether.

Yawn… I think we set the standards too high.

But Big Brother got it all wrong with the mix of the characters this time. For one, after what Richard did, wouldn’t it have been better to bring his wife as the Tanzanian representative.

The viewers were also too judgmental and send out some real good people too early… Latoya, Sheila, Uti were all material for Top 5 but they never made it that far. When Tawana makes the Top 4, you know we are just acting the goat, to quote someone from Tintin.

Methinks that crying scene made it for him…All the same, it was too too boring.

Big Brother? Consistently slithering under impossibly low bars!

@Our Kid … If am not wrong Tawana was a goat microbiologist or something like that. Hmmm.

True, BBA3 was the most boring Big Brother yet. My beef is what are we as Africans trying to show the rest of the world about us? After Richard’s “Finger-gate” scandal he went on to win BBA2. In BBA 3 Ricco was quite promiscuous too, and he won. What does that say about our standards of morality? Do we encourage this kind of behaviour and make heroes out of the characters involved? If there will be a BBA4, rest assured that the most promiscuous fellow and the mother of the house will end up in the top 2!!
